Examples of injection molding of resin machined products: resin sheets and round bars.

Select the appropriate steel material and create a simple mold! Introducing cost reduction examples that can minimize expenses as much as possible.

We would like to introduce a case study from Kōhan Co., Ltd., which manufactures in Hyogo Prefecture, regarding cost reduction of parts through resin molding, specifically the "injection molding of resin-cutting processed products." In addition to the product cost, there may be expenses for mold production, and issues such as warping or deformation can occur due to shrinkage after molding, which may slightly reduce dimensional accuracy. As a proposal for improvement, regarding mold production costs, it is possible to minimize expenses by selecting steel materials according to the lifetime required quantity of the product or by creating simple molds that fit into existing bases, producing molds only for the product parts. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issues - In addition to the product cost, expenses for mold production are required, and issues such as warping or deformation may occur due to shrinkage after molding, which can slightly reduce dimensional accuracy. ■ Improvement Proposal - It is possible to minimize costs by selecting steel materials according to the lifetime required quantity of the product or by creating simple molds that fit into existing bases. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Proposal for Cost Reduction of Parts through Resin Molding <Presentation of Explanatory Materials with Examples>

Specializing in the injection molding of engineering plastics, we can propose cost reduction based on our extensive know-how. We have numerous achievements ranging from industrial machinery to the medical field.

Kouhan Co., Ltd., which operates a resin molding business in Hyogo Prefecture, specializes in plastic injection molding and insert molding of metal fittings, and offers cost reduction proposals for parts through resin molding. For example, it is possible to reduce costs by converting metal materials such as iron and aluminum into resin, and by transforming resin-cutting products into injection molded products. In the resin conversion of metals, it contributes to cost reduction through lower material costs due to reduced prices of the materials used, and through weight reduction associated with changes in specific gravity, which lowers material and transportation costs. There have been instances where cost reductions of over 50% compared to metal parts have been achieved. **Our Strengths** - Diverse proposals utilizing advanced know-how such as engineering plastic injection molding - Capable of handling a wide range from small to large sizes with thermoplastic resins - Extensive track record from industrial machinery to the medical field - Flexible response to product development consultations, from material selection to molding method proposals *Case study explanation materials can be viewed via PDF download. Please feel free to contact us.*

[Insert Molding Case Study] Metal parts, plug cords, and resin parts

Integration of iron cores and PPS resin! Additionally, we will introduce cost reduction examples where two or more types of integrated molding are possible.

We would like to introduce a case of "insert molding" for cost reduction of parts through resin molding by Kōhan Co., Ltd., which manufactures in Hyogo Prefecture. The challenge is to change the assembly of metal parts and plug cords with resin parts to integrated molding through injection molding, thereby reducing assembly and post-processing costs. As a result, it is possible to change from assembling iron cores and resin molded parts to integrated molding of iron cores and PPS resin, as well as to use two or more types of plastic materials for integrated molding as a new molding method. [Case Overview] ■ Challenge - Change the assembly of resin parts to integrated molding through injection molding to reduce assembly and post-processing costs. ■ Result - Integrated molding of iron cores and PPS resin, as well as integrated molding using two or more types of plastic materials is possible. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
